As every tech buff already knows, all iPhone launched by the Cupertino-based mobile phone manufacturer until now has the similar display size, from the first variant, to the latest iPhone 4S, 3.5-inch. It was great when the original iPhone models was released, however it’s excessively tiny now, when many Android-running smartphones have panels flaunting 4” screen size. For instance, the Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC One X, LG Optimus 4X HD, Sony Xperia Ion, etc.
Obviously, the Retina Display incorporated by the Cupertino-based mobile manufacturer on the newest two iPhones, with the 960 x 640 pixels resolution, is fairly remarkable. Still, 3.5-inch is merely not a great size for the display of a high-end phone in 2012.

Therefore Apple should do something about it. The Wall Street Journal has stated that the upcoming iPhone 5 will flaunt a display at least 4” in size. There’s no information on the resolution utilized, however we doubt that it will be the existing 960 x 640 pixels. It’s also expected that the production for the 4” screens is ready to start next month. Therefore, in June we could see factories churning out the new iPhone. This will give Apple ample time for the iPhone 5 release date sometime in the Q3 this year.
It’s not the first time we have heard about a probable bigger display on the iPhone 5. In March, many reports claim that the new flagship model from the Cupertino-based mobile phone manufacturer will come with a 4.6-inch display. So, it seems probable that the next iPhone will definitely come with a bigger screen than its previous versions.
